Hey i was thinking about starting one new char and I was tihnking about makeing a rit. But I was wondering if rits are good to deal dmg, I know they can do some good dmg with their spirits but I was wondering if they did damg any other type of way. And also if they are good at healing and surviving. And are they fun to play? lol

it all depends on if you like spell casters. Rits can definetally do damage, their whole channeling line is based on damage. they also have communing, which is for spirits, and restoration magic, which is for healing, and spwaning power which is the primary that boosts spirits health. Rits are definetally fun to play, but frustrating if you are making a spirit and you die because of the 5 second cast time. Id make one, but i dotn ahve any extra slots on my account and am too lazy to purchase one.

This has probably been said to death, but if you have Nightfall, getting spirit's strength can allow you to do 100 damage with attack skills to 100AL targets.
Whether you choose an assassin, warrior, paragon or ranger secondary you can do nice damage.
If you choose a caster secondary, then you can still do nice damage with spells rather than physical attacks.
Ritualists probably have the best self healing abilities in the game. Ritualist heals work on themselves, unlike many monk ones which say 'target other', and Generous Was Tsungrai is a monster self heal.
